Dzogchen Beara Buddhist Meditation Centre sits high on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, on the wild and beautiful Beara Peninsula. At the south-western tip of Europe, it isn’t the easiest place to get to but once you arrive you won’t want to leave.
The centre extends a warm and open-hearted welcome to all, offering many different ways to experience this unique place of peace and inspiration, for casual visitors or those who wish to attend an event or to stay a while. (For information on our event programme please visit our website: www.dzogchenbeara.org)
Whether spending some contemplative time alone, or unwinding with friends, Dzogchen Beara has accommodation to suit you, including secluded clifftop cottages, conservatory rooms and a budget hostel with dormitories and private rooms.
The cosy café and gift shop offers artisan coffees and gourmet teas, with home-baked treats, fresh from our kitchen. Have a croissant after the free guided drop-in morning meditation or a slice of cake! Delicious vegetarian lunches are also available.
Curl up on a couch by a wood-burning stove, watch the ever-changing light on the waves far below, relax in the gardens, meet like-minded people in the friendly café, ramble the historic Beara Way or tour the Wild Atlantic Way; whatever you do or however long you stay we are sure that a break at Dzogchen Beara will give you memories to last a lifetime.
Dzogchen Beara is proud to have been awarded the Fáilte Ireland Welcome Standard, which assures you of quality, professionalism, friendliness and comfort during your visit.
